# Wait

> Pause a workflow before continuing to the next step.

The Wait node pauses the current workflow run for a selected duration. After the
wait finishes, the workflow continues from the next connected node.

## Add a Wait node

1. Drag **Wait** from the workflow toolbar onto the canvas.
2. Enter the duration.
3. Choose **Minutes**, **Hours**, or **Days**.
4. Connect the **Continue** output to the next node.
5. Publish the workflow.

Wait durations must be between 1 minute and 90 days.

  Each run continues using the workflow version that originally started it. Pausing
  or publishing a newer version does not change a run that is already waiting.
